On Sunday we celebrated our ‘paper’ anniversary. Well, actually we celebrated it on Friday. And Saturday. And Sunday. Well, why not?

We visited an area of Buenos Aires called La Boca which means ‘The Mouth’ because it’s located at the mouth of the Riachuelo (river). It’s famous for Tango, being the home of the Boca Juniors football team and for its little street ‘Caminto’ which has buildings painted in primary colours. It’s also famous for being incredibly dangerous, apparently, so that’s why you only get pictures from a small compact camera (before its battery ran out) instead of a big shiny one.

On Saturday night we had Japanese / Peruvian fusion food at a restaurant called Osaka in Palermo. As Japanese people and Peruvian people both eat raw fish, someone had the bright idea of sticking them on the same menu. It works very well. Amazing food.

It’s not a bank holiday in Argentina so our plan for having Wedding Anniversaries on bank holiday weekends has been foiled this year.
