Festival de Agua

Sarah and I (Bert) visited the Festival de Agua on Saturday. This was organised by a sustainability group called ‘Ambientate’ and there were various talks and stands around the subject of water supply and contamination. There were people selling water filters and people getting us to sign a petition against a uranium mine in Cordoba. Also, apparently a gold mine is going to be dug under a glacier, destroying some of the glacier. Perhaps it was going to melt anyway.

The event was put on in the Japanese gardens in Buenos Aires quite near to where we used to live before we moved to Colegiales. There were fish. In the water. Quite appropriate, I thought, so here’s a picture of a fish. Also there was Cherry Blossom as it’s Spring here which was very pleasing as I never managed to see it in Japan.
