Hoi An

We took a particular lengthy train ride from Saigon up the Vietnamese coast and broke the journey to Hanoi in the North by stopping in a charming old town called Hoi An on 21st Jan. Hoi An has a beautiful collection of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and French colonial architecture and is a lovely place to hang out for a couple of days. Tania got three pairs of shoes made (delivered free to our hotel within 24hrs) blinkin’ cheap which was good. Hoi An was full of colours and textures and was extremely pleasing on the eye.

Tania has developed a Pho Bo addiction – this is Vietname rice noodle soup with beef. She has it at least once a day. Hoi An also has amazing food and we found a prawn curry with five inch prawns in it. Mmmmmm.
